Online OCR Scanning
Free OCR is an online service offering a free alternative to OCR scanning. The supported file formats include PDF, JPG, GIF, TIFF and BMP. However, the uploaded file musn’t exceed 2MB in size and 5000 pixels in width and height. The number of the files that you can scan with the service is limited to only 10 files per hour. Additionally, you can only process one file at a time.
Keep in mind that if you scan a pdf file, only the first page of the document that will be processed. There are also other limitations that you should know. You can read the complete limitation list by visiting the FAQ page.
